Project Purple: 15 Years of Fighting Pancreatic Cancer
Founded in 2010 by Dino Verelli after his father’s battle with pancreatic cancer, Project Purple has spent the last 15 years funding cutting-edge early detection initiatives and providing financial support to patients and families.
To date, the organization has granted over $3.5 million to cutting-edge research in the fields of early detection and curative treatment. This includes a $750,000 grant to Hartford Healthcare to establish the state’s largest pancreatic cancer screening program.
The organization has also provided over $1 million in aid to patients and families through its patient aid programs.
Project Purple’s dedication to individuals facing pancreatic cancer is epitomized by this event’s Hall of Fame Ceremony. This is a cherished tradition, honoring individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Project Purple community. New inductees receive a purple jacket and have their portraits displayed at the Project Purple headquarters, serving as beacons of hope for those fighting pancreatic cancer.
