Can’t make it to an in-person event? No problem! Project Purple’s Virtual Event Series for pancreatic cancer research and patient aid is the easiest way to get involved. We host several virtual events each year that you can run on your treadmill at home, in your neighborhood, or wherever you’d like! For 2024, this series includes:
- Purple Paddy’s 5k | St. Patrick’s Day Weekend (March 15-18)
- Independence Day Double Mile For Detection | 4th of July Weekend (July 4-7)
- Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month Turkey Trot | (Thanksgiving Weekend Nov. 28 – Dec. 1)

More Info about the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month Virtual Turkey Trot:
Before you start your Thanksgiving celebrations, hit the street virtually with Project Purple to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. This virtual turkey trot is a 5k run or 1-mile walk that you can perform from anywhere in the world – whether that means from your local neighborhood, your treadmill, or even your city/town Turkey Trot 5k!
We recommend running on a team with friends and family but you can fly solo as well.
For updates and to get in touch with our community, join the Facebook Group for this event: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pcawarenessturkeytrot
Distance: 5k (3.1 Miles)
Date: Nov. 28-Dec. 1
Time: When you want
Location: From your home or anywhere you can
Because Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month takes place during November, we need your help to drive awareness of our mission both virtually and at your local turkey trots. Your participation in this event would be a big help as we step towards a world without pancreatic cancer.
We encourage you to set up a team and invite your friends and family to join you in making a difference. Participation can happen from anywhere. Share your fundraising pages and make an even larger impact.
